The Ventura County Rose Society 7th Annual Rose Auction will take place on January 22nd at the Cowan Conference Center in Camarillo, Ca. The rose catalog will be posted on the VCRS website (wwww.venturarose.org) late this weekend. If you would like a sneak preview of the roses offered, please send me an e-mail. JD

Even if you are not interested in the auction per se, you might enjoy the descriptions and pictures of the roses included--some 196 differnt ones. JD

The catalog is so beautiful I had to print it out. It only took an hour(!) to print out the 36 pages :-)

We did well at the auction. We averaged about 22/23 dollars per rose; the highest bids were for The Impressionist, Silk Hat, Maria Teresa, and Elizabeth Navarro. JD
