I have this bad habit.

| I order way to many roses every year. I ordered well over 120 plants this year and even with the new beds, and replacing some winter kill. I have about 60 rose bushes sitting in my "pot ghetto". I have already given some away, sold some, some are promised to friends, but I still have way to many roses.
In one bed, I have almost 70 bushes in pots, waiting to get planted but there is only room for about 45, I have already made the secone cut, but still need to loose about 25 bushes. The bed is only 10'x48', so if I plant on 3' centers, I can plant 3 rows of 15 roses, if I offset them.
I swear, I will not buy any new roses next year. Well unless they are must haves. You know the ones that you just can't live without.
Not sure what I am going to do when Fatal Attraction and Blake Hendrick are finally availble.
Anyone have any suggestions?

| When you get any, pass them my way. I'm just glad I'm not the only one. I must have ordered 130 roses this year and only planted maybe 70. The rest were donated to the local rose society for their raffles, given away or murdered (maybe five). I've started coming up with my 'short' list of must have's for fall and/or spring. I have maybe 24 spots for full size roses if I rip out some roses I can live without. I'm already up to fifteen. Bet that list gets longer before I get around to buying again... Suz |

I am disappointed in the new crop of HT's and GR's. With the exception of just a couple I just didn't find any "must haves" to speak of this year. I found myself ordering some oldies but goodies that I ran across in my search.

| Well, it's Dec 7th, Pearl Harbor Day, for those who remember that kind of stuff. I sold/traded/gave away alot of roses this year, but I finally got the ones I wanted in the ground. The really bad thing is I placed a couple more orders for roses on fortuniana and had them arrive last month. Now I am growing new plants inside under lights, and fighting Spider mites. I went ahead and ordered

I think we are all guilty of over-purchasing when it comes to our roses. I have done pretty well this year. I don't think the selection of new Ht's is as good this year except for stock on Fortuniana rootstock and that isn't so good for my area. I will just have to wait til they are available on rootstock for my area or on their own roots.
