| I can't seem to find the other threads... maybe too much time has passed. I received a letter back from the EPA in response to the email I sent to them It states: "Thank you for your letter of May 22, 2004, to Administrator Mike Leavitt of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) expressing concerns about the spreading of Rose Rosette Disease. I have reviewed the information in your letter, and determined that the EPA is not the appropriate party to address your concerns. My recommendation would be to contact the US Department of Agricultural Forest Service at their headquarters located at 1400 Independence Avenue, S.W. Washington D.C. 20250. Their contact number is 202-205-8333. I thank you for forwarding this matter to the EPA's attention, and hope that your issues can be addressed by the US Department of Agriculture. EPA remains committed to ensuring the protection of our environment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a member of my staff, Ms Melissa A. Toffel at 215-814-2060. Sincerely, James A Burke, Director Waste and Chemicals Management Division" |
