| The color white is severely lacking in my lineup. Out of 270 or so roses, I can think of ONE hybrid tea, ONE floribunda, ONE polyantha, ONE english style shrub rose, and two miniatures that are white. I have maybe half a dozen near white blends and a couple of yellows that may as well be whites (lol).
Are there any stand out white exhibition quality Hybrid Teas that I should be out hunting down, dragging home and chaining to the garden wall? (ok, planting, but you get the drift...)

| Crystalline is probably the top pure white HT for show. Moonstone is classed as white, although it has a little pink tint, and it is a proven winner. Cajun Moon is also pretty good. The "Moons" were Queen and King respectively in our spring show. Bob Martin can probably give you the data on which ones are winning across the country, as well as what works well in your area. |

| Suz You may want to lookup Vendela from Carlton, Virginia from K&M, White Timeless and White Success from JBSR, Peter Cottontail a miniflora I ordered from Wisconsin Roses. That all that comes to mind at the moment. Ooops, I have heard a rumor about a really nice white rose from one the very seasoned judges at our rose this weekend. E-mail me and I will repeat the rumor. thanks/John |

| John is right. The white (ivory) version of Timeless is really a nice rose. It won Queen at the national in Tulsa and often is on the head table here. I don't know how it would hold up in your heat, however, since it is a little on the small side to begin with. Might be worth an experiment. White Masterpiece, White Success and Opulence are other possibilities. Local knowledge is going to be important in knowing how they do in your area. |

| White roses are wonderful..if only the Thripes did not enjoy them so much. The Thripes enjoy the white roses in my yard more than I do.. |

| This might sound dumb, but if you can find JFK on fortuniana, or White Success. They just might surprise you. |

I grow and like Moonstone, Cajun Moon, and Pop Warner. I also grow and like Crystalline and Pristine for breeding roses. They both set hips well for me and are nice roses as well though not as well formed as the "Moons & Pop Warner" roses IMO. I may add Honor, White Timeless, and Queen Mary II this year. John |
