    Oh, goody--I have some lovely E's.

    Easter Basket--I love the range of colors on this floribunda.
    {{gwi:221709}}

    Eden Climber--so gorgeous in full bloom.
    {{gwi:233097}}

    Eutin--a good older Kordes red floribunda.
    {{gwi:291305}}

    Elina--one of the more BS resistant HTs or Grandifloras --and probably thornier than most! But lovely.

    Earth Song--another grandiflora/shrub--looking her most shapely here (she's a bit more slovenly most days).
    {{gwi:205408}}

    Elle--a vigorous HT that gets more apricot hightlights at times, other times almost looks like Peace, colorwise.
    {{gwi:325447}}

    Hope you enjoyed those. I certainly love looking at yours--like Dark Night and Eternal Flame are gorgeous. Wonder how they would look side-by-side?

    Hey Kate,
    I always love seeing pictures of your Easter Basket...such a pretty, frilly thing! That Eden is spectacular!!!
    I agree...Dark Knight and Eternal Flame probably would look great together.

    I'm so in love with Eyes For You. Never get tired of seeing pictures! Wonderful E roses! Eugene de Beauharnais is so rich looking. Ebb Tide also. So many that I plan to hmf later. :)

    And I finally have another picture to share! This is Edith Schurr.

    Kathy, your ebb tide puts mine to shame! Mine's been growing backwArd for a couple of years now...plagued by fungal issues. Love your "eyes" too!

    Pat, my Ebb Tide did not do well last summer, a watering problem. I had to dig it up and put it in a pot last week. I have my fingers crossed it can root and get back to the vigorous tree rose it once was. Water has been a problem for us these past few years and my garden has its own issues that are hard to solve.

    Electron, Eglantyne--love those pics!

    I always have a soft spot for yellow roses--Eureka and Easy Going, posted earlier, were definitely worth going back to take a second and third look!

    Wonderful! Thank you everyone for such beautiful pictures. My favourites are Eglantyne, Elina, English Sachet, and Ebb Tide, but really, it's a close thing!

    Talk about lovely roses!!!
    My favs are Elle, Electron, Ebb Tide, Eglantyne and English Sachet!!

    Questions:
    1. Does Ebb Tide always look so glorious?
    2. Does Electron have a great smell?
    3. Does Eglantyne have a great smell?

    Enchanted Evening is lovely! Such a gorgeous subtle lilac!

    I thought I'd add one more: Elina, from a botanical garden that's only a 5-minute bike ride from my house

    Yes! 'Eglantyne' rules! Great shots Mossy.

    But I bought 'Evelyn' instead to find out what the fuss was about. And fell in love with the silky diva. Here she is with unfurled center petals. Love yours Canadian Rose.

    Eglantyne and Electron are beautiful roses, everyone's pictures are gorgeous. I've always wanted to try Electron, but have read mixed reviews about it. Just wondered if any of you would recommend it?

  • canadian_rose

    Wow!! What a lot of beautiful roses!!
    My favs are Elle, Electron, Ebb Tide, Eglantyne and English Sachet!!!

    For those of you who grow Electron and Eglantyne - what do you think of their fragrances??

    Here is Enchanted Evening.

    Carol - I am "fragrance challenged", so a rose has to have a pretty strong fragrance to get my attention. I can't remember Electron having much smell, to me. Eglantyne is definitely one I stop to smell.

  • canadian_rose

    Redwolf - don't get too attached to Enchanted Evening LOL - I got rid of her, because she gets blackspot here. Blackspot doesn't happen on my roses - and EE had lots. She also didn't bloom all that much for me.

    Mossy - I've been hemming and hawing over Eglantyne for a few years - maybe I should get it. Hmmmm.

    Irisgal - thanks! Love yours too!! Evelyn is a wonderful rose.

    Hmm, thanks Carol! We have a lot more humidity than you Calgarians - I guess EE wouldn't be the best choice here! lol

    Just wanted to answer the Ebb Tide question. It is more purple in spring. In summer, you see more pink to the color. The following picture has more pink than you actually see.

    A September picture:

    Kathy ~~ Thanks for the color info on 'Ebb Tide'. Guess I'll move 'Intrigue' to the sunny spot where I'd visualized 'Ebb Tide'.
    Your 'English Sachet' is always delightful.

    My first Ebb Tide ever

  • canadian_rose

    So, here, it might always be the deeper purple since 77F is a pretty warm day here. Most of the time our temp is 69.8F (doing the online conversions).

    I have to get that next year!!!!
