    Glorious blooms. So nice to see them at this time of year. New and old.

    Beth--I like Geo. Burns more the more I see him. Thought he was rather strange looking the first few times I ever saw him, but he is growing on me.

    And Guy Savoy certainly is an interesting stripey--unusual bloom shape--I like it, but almost doesn't look like a rose. Or did you just get him one morning before he had time to spruce up before a mirror? : )

    I do grow Ghislaine de Feligonde, but for some odd reason, didn't take a picture of it (it's still a baby, didn't put on much of a display yet)--must correct that next year! So you will have to settle for my former "G"--Golden Showers, which was a victim of RRD! So sad.

    Some gorgeous GâÂÂs!!! IâÂÂm loving Golden Showers, Grand Prize, and of course, all of BethâÂÂs stripeys ïÂÂ

    I donâÂÂt have many GâÂÂs, but the oneâÂÂs I do have are among my favorites:

    Gruss an Aachen:

    Old pics of Gemini. Would have sworn it had 'Pristine' in its heritage. Nope.But it has the same vigor and buds have the same elegance. I wasn't expecting its colors to be bold (see link for what I thought I'd be getting).

    I'll throw a few of mine into this chapter. First is Glamis Castle.

    {{gwi:2130577}}

    Next is a nice bloom on Garden Party.

    {{gwi:2130578}}

    Out of seemingly nowhere this spray appeared on Good Ol' Summertime.

    {{gwi:2130579}}

    This was a nice small cluster on Glad Tidings.

    {{gwi:2130580}}

    The last one for this group is a group of three Geminis that almost make a cycle of bloom grouping.

    {{gwi:2130581}}

    I hope you like these.

    I'll have to jump on this! Great photos everyone! Love Grey Pearl, Grande Dame, and especially Garden Party. Garden Party is one of the more beautiful, unheralded HTs IMO.

    I love Grande Dame she is so luscious looking! I ordered her a couple days ago so I hope she will be happy here with our heat and humidity. I may have to keep her in a big pot since I got her without the fortuniana rootstock.

    Beautiful blooms everybody! Aw man I wish my GRANADA would do something. Been in a crappy spot for a few yrs. Gotta get some fertilizer or something to kick it up.

    Love that GRADUATION DAY, Kathy! Very pretty.

    There are so many beautiful G roses. I have been resisting the stripes, but there are some on here that are irresistible. I am amazed at how good the bloom production is on some of the HT roses, especially Grand Dame and Givenchy. I ordered Grand Dame, I am anxious to see how it does for me. Gypsy Carnival is gorgeous, Kathy. I love everyone's Gemini roses, so pretty!

    Oh my goodness, how could I have overlooked one of my favorite roses I have a real love-hate relationship with?

    Gypsy Carnival (HT)--I adore the blooms, but the plant is a real wimp, and it is the worst BSer in my garden!

    Here's several views of Gypsy Carnival:
    Looks pretty good and healthy here:

    Eye her straight on--a blooming beauty!

    Get a load of this profile--ooh la la!

    Then stand back and view the entire plant--arghhh!:

    See what I mean? If anyone has wondered what we mean when we refer to roses that look like "lollipops" or like fat blooms on a popsicle stick, just take another look at that last pic!

    Weakest necks in the rose garden also.

    I should get rid of Gypsy Carnival, but can't resist those gorgeous blooms!

    I am ashamed to say that one day last summer, in a fit of frustration I tore out Golden Celebration due to constant blackspot. I still can`t believe I did this!!! Lesson learned, I will practice patience in the future. I really miss this rose and still have an empty spot! Lesley

  • kentucky_rose zone 6

    Lesley, I have removed a few I regret due to BS frustration, spur of the moment. One that comes to mind was Opulence. I still can't believe I did that.

    Green Ice--a sprawler, makes a great front of the border plant, but only gets a greenish hue occasionally.
