Variegata & reversion

I've already send some pictures of both in the past .Here are my observations on some differences between them . Reversion which is solid red/purple in colour can be found under names "Victor Emmanuel" , "Variegata di Bologna Rouge" , "Mrs. Yamada"...
I see no difference in canes or leaves , but V. Emmanuel is slightly less prone to rust and mildew and much more resistant to BS. Variegata has so far never set any hips.
VE sets a lot of big hips full of seeds , which seems to be fertile (no floaters) , I saved 40 of them in the fall . Flowers on VE do not ball in wet , they age to deep purple and remain gorgeous until they drop . Fragrance in both roses is quite strong and beautiful , there is slight difference , I just don't know how to describe it .
Both flower only once in season. To me Variegata di Bologna
is the most beautiful striped rose and Victor Emmanuel is becoming one of my favourite roses . If only they were more
disease resistant...
Here are some pictures of both .

I'm not a fan of striped roses, but that is beautiful. Thank you for the photos.

My Variegata di Bologna has a cane on it that has reverted, too! What a wonderful surprise to find solid burgundy flowers peeking out along with VdB's stripes. Your photos are lovely.

Good photos, and I appreciate the description of differences. I have a young VdB coming along; perhaps one day I'll get some reversion flowers as well.
