Roses grow at different heights. Often height is listed with a rose description but the problem for me is climate. Your sweet little floribunda might grow to 6 feet in my mild winter climate & soil. It might stay at 3 feet in lousy soil.

If you don't have many leaves you may be getting blackspot. If I had two tips on how to grow better roses they would start out with

(1) Plant in full sun.

(2) In your area (not generally needed out west) get a one or two gallon sprayer, and spray fungicides weekly. Sorry, but it is the only way to prevent diseases in your humid environment in Georgia. I use about three products but not at same time. Daconil in cool weather (it is well-suited for cool weather diseases and will damage your roses above 80 degrees F, Funginex in warm weather, and if I get behind and start experiencing disease issues I try to stop those with Mancozeb. Funginex is an Ortho product now called Rosepride. But the ingredients are available in other chemcial companies' products.

Spray in the morning or at least if you do so in the evening at least one hour before dusk so the leaves will dry off before nightfall's dew. I also include a foliar fertilizer like Miracid, or Miracle Gro in the sprayer so long as I am spraying.

I said two, but a third suggestion, which is less important, but very helpful:

(3) Work on amending your soil. If you can afford to do so Mills Magic is a great product, but you can get some of the same benefits by going to the feed store and getting alfalfa meal and other more natural fertilizers or soil amendments.
