| I have no Ms so I'll have to admire all of yours! And they are beautiful! Pat, Marmalade Skies is an incredible colour! Moondance really speaks to me... what a breathtaking ethereal colour! I adore the creamy yellowish centre. Is that typical? How do you find it as a performer in general? It certainly looks good on HMF! Beth I love that shot of Memorial Day and Magic Lantern looks like it has wonderful colours/blending. Fantastic colour on Marmalade Skies and Michelangelo is a stunner! Does it have a lot of orange/yellow or is it more red/cream? Karen |
| Beth, love that Modern Magic! Stripes and speckles, cool! Pat, that pic of Marmalade Skies is stunning! Sara, The McCartney Rose is yummy! Here are my Ms |
| Beautiful pics everybody!! Karen, MICHELANGELO is normally more of a coral-red and peachy orange blend, but it also goes thru reds, yellows, orange and apricot, and fading to pink as well. It's a beautiful rose. |

| Karen, Moondance is usually whiter than it looks in that picture. It's an absolute bloom machine here...I have two and they are always covered in blooms. Nice moderate fragrance and long lasting cut flower. They get big here (about 7' x 5). Disease resistance isn't great in our humidity...I have to spray them fairly regularly. I believe Iceberg is in the parentage, and Iceberg is a worse disease magnet here. I think it does well everywhere but here, though, so maybe Moondance is more disease resistant in other climates, too. Seil, LOVE that picture of Magic Show! |

| MARLON'S DAY is to die for.. MALICORNE doesn't resemble a rose at all. Too many to mention, but I love them all. Thanks, to every on,e for taking the time to show your hard work results. |
| Seil - You are making me fall in love with the single petaled roses, your Mrs. Robinson is lovely. Do you have any full bush shots of any of them? The coloring in Madeleine is gorgeous, they are all lovely. Kate - Yours are so pretty. I don't know if I had already seen a picture of your Mrs. John Laing, but when I did my ordering I wanted one more pink older rose and it is the one I ordered, I have fallen in love with the pictures. When I finally narrowed my choices for my three Austins, Molineaux made that list. I do hope they are both good roses, they are gorgeous. I think that Mortimer Sackler is lovely, despite the name. And I love Munstead Wood too and Mystic Beauty is heavenly. You both have beautiful M roses. |
| Seil...that Mystic Beauty is amazing. I planted one last year so I have big hopes for this upcoming spring.Beth, I have been looking for Michaelangelo, the painter. I love that rose. There are some wonderful M`s here. Lesley |
| Thanks, Lesley, but Mystic Beauty is Kate's rose, lo. Maybe I should get though! Sara, I never cared for singles at first either. Then I fell for Dainty Bess and now I LOVE the singles so much. There is something so delicate about them. This is the only bush shot I have of Mrs. Robinson. She's a very small plant for me. I've put her in the ground now and hope she'll do better. |
| Seil - Thank you for posting that lovely picture. Mrs. Robinson is a beautiful rose! I love your Dainty Bess and Golden Wings too. Those are the two I can think of. |
| Here in New England we seem so far away from Spring, so I decided to check out the Rose Gallery Forum. And the first thing that caught my eye was "Roses M." Since my name begins with that letter, I dropped in. What lovely roses! These beautiful roses certainly brighten my spirits. Thanks! |
| Lesley, Heirloom now carries MICHELANGELO. Altho they are currently sold out of it. Maybe you can email them and see when they might have it back in stock again. |
| Thank you, Beth. I would love to add this rose to my garden. An Seil...sorry about my mix up. To Kate..You have a lovely rose and I can`t wait to get some age on mine. A truly beautiful rose to my eye. Sometimes I fly thru these pictures. They are a true joy. Lesley |

| Brittie - I like your M's. Memphis Music is very unique and Madame Scipion Cochet is lovely. |
| Brittie, I am curious what rose you have next to Memphis Music? It is such a strong color. I really like this rose but struggle to see it in my garden. Not that a have a grand plan when I add new roses..Ha! Pretty much a hodgepodge going on out there! Lesley |
| In my old garden, I had MM nestled between (but in front of) Livin Easy and Dick Clark. In this garden when I go to plant this one, I plan to add it in next to a nice yellow, to play on the stripes. Remains yet to be seen if I like it or not. Lol |
| wow...I hadnt heard of Madame Scipion Cochet before this - and she comes from two of the loveliest teas as well ! shes amost edible hehe. Not to mention Mme Caroline Testout... Well heres mine.. Mary Magdeline - late summer last year, so she is rather pale..very floriferous considering you can still see the remains of spider mite infestation on her leaves. then this Spring - unfortunately shes gone into hibernation this summer it would seem. |
| You all have such lovely roses in all of the alphabet. This thread is making me look up my pictures from last spring. Here is one of my favorites for the "M" roses. Mary Magdalene
| Oops- I have a few more... Max Vita from the Victoria State garden Next two are a couple of Australian Roses Miss All Australian Beauty Makby Diva (also the name of a racehorse) And finishing off with a David Austin from Rushton Gardens
| 'Makby Diva ' is drop dead gorgeous. HMF gives a 2nd spelling. Does Australia always us "makby"? TIA |
| Whoops I should be ashamed! I cant spell the name of a 3 times Melbourne Cup winner! I always tend to mess it up; always strikes me as a strange name- according to wikipedia the racehorse's owner named her by taking the first two letters of five of his employees names. Supposed to be quite a good rose tho. |
