| Congratulation on your early 2011 roses! They look very pretty. I love the shots of Madame Berkeley and Victor Velidan. I have never heard of the latter. Can you tell me a little bit about this rose? Christina |

Thank you. These are roses I have not yet pruned. I won't when I see they are covered with buds and the winter cold (for what little there is) is now history. Jerome gave me the white Victor Velidan (a tea); he also gave me a cutting of Mme. Berkeley which just took off once it struck roots and Vesuvius (McGredy 1923 Hybrid Tea) I purchased about 5 years ago from the Uncommon Rose. It gets better each year and produces its best flowers in the cooler months when the sun is not so intense. |
