a couple pictures today of roses in bloom

I have no idea what the name of this rose is.I rooted a cutting off a rose that was on my daughters property when she bought it.It was huge,and shaped like a giant umbrella on her property,and I thought it was pretty,so sje told me take a cutting and see if it will root.And that it did.It does have a lot of dead canes in it now that I need to try to cut out of it.Its a single bloom.

and another one, 7 sisters.was planted by in 70.

Jean, that looks a lot like Betty Prior. Mine also has that vase shape and the blooms look similar, although it's hard to tell without a close-up. I love this rose from the 1930's and it's one of my favorite singles.

Hey, Kathy.Yea,I have lots of room for big roses,I had a huge rose,and lost it last year to some thing eating all the roots off it.
Ingrid, I am cutting on this bush all the time,if I didn't it would take over the entire city block.Its like the energizer battery, it keeps going and going.

Florence;Hi, How have you been? the cutting for this one was about 3 ft long.I just dug a little trench and laid it down in it and covered it up,and in not time I had a nice rose growing.Only thing is,I didnt know I would have to keep cutting it back just to keep it in my own yard.
