Yes, after a long wait, I finally have a few roses blooming. Let me share them with you along with the early spring companions.

Love all your photos. Your garden is so lush and healthy looking.
The glad is surely much too early, but beautiful. The colour of the poppy is a real knock-out.
Even in zone 6, spring has arrived about 6-8 weeks early.
Unfortunately the saucer magnolias have suffered and the blooms are mostly "brown", as some of the nights are pretty cold still.

Nice pics., Kathy. I love daffodils - must have planted several hundreds of them. They lose that deep pink color when I don't fertilize them. I planted one daffodil in a horse-manure enriched soil and that turned darker pink that the rest. Next year I'll fertillizer them with acid fertilizer. The ones I saw in a more acidic soil is really dark pink, compared to turning beige in my alkaline soil.

Thanks for all your nice comments!
I am on the verge of having spring bloom and it is staying quite cool so far. The rain, which we didn't get all winter, won't stop now. It is a very odd spring, for sure.

    Beautiful!

What is going to be in the front of the big raised bed?

We had 3 or 4 glads pop up way early, the rest are still just leaves

Kippy, "in front" of the big raised bed is the other big raised bed,

We have used our yard wisely as it is California-sized. How can you have a grass backyard when it is so small? It took several years and lots of helpers, but we put in the beds and I love them.

Kathy your garden is simply gorgeous! Who would want grass when you can have such a beautiful scene to look at? The raised beds with the stone surround make a wonderful statement, and the mixture of plants is perfect. Your Angel Face is about the most beautiful I've ever seen. You should be very proud of what you've accomplished. Thank you for sharing your garden with us, and I hope you'll post many more pictures.
