Mystery Rose.

Romani

This Rose has quite a long history.....
Back in 1980,a young woman died in a car accident...
Her grave was decorated with a small hedge of mini Roses in the front and Boxwood in the back.
As the years passed, the Roses died and the boxwood took over.
About 5 years ago,I noticed only a small shoot left on a very gnarled trunk. So I decided to take a start from it.
Getting it to callous in water, rooting it in perlite, and finally in a small flower pot.
It was moved 3 times over the years always living.
In the Summer of 2012,it completely died from a bad drought.
I had moved out of my moms house and could not take care of it.
That Fall I was there visiting here and was going to toss it.
When I noticed a tiny shoot emerging from the ground....It had lived! So I decided then to dig it up and pot it up.
Letting it over winter in a sheltered shelf under the front porch. After some Miracle Grow,it has made the largest flowers I have yet to see!
