Tamora and Lillian Austin

Both are in pots, both gifts from rose friends. All pictures taken in the sun, which gives them better color imho.

Tamora desperately needs to be put in the ground but I need a really big spot/hole, which is not available at the moment. It is the best ever this year. It took a while, being own root.

Lillian is a delicate sole in my yard, even in cool weather. Blooms are gone in a few days. The color is wonderful.

I have Tamora, and love her, but I wasn't familiar with Lillian. Your photos show them off nicely.

Yes, here's a big hug and cheers to those special rose friends! Mine is Jim1961, my rescuer. My Special Occasion is dying and rotting away from being eaten and chewed down by Monster Rabbit. Stripped of all its leaves and with bitten canes, it just can't recover and is now covered with stress and canker with the onslaught of rains we have been getting. So now his Distant Drums is being sent--I can't even begin to describe how perfectly matched this rose will be in color size and form in my front garden....Definitely the highlight of my 2010 rose year! I will be pampering this Friendship Rose to the max! My front yard has Penny Lane, now Distant Drums, then Ghislaine de Feligonde, then Cornelia...

I just planted Lillian yesterday. I ordered her from RU and I just love the picture of her you posted.Hope mine os off to a good start! Lesley

Wow!!! Your Tamora is incredible!!!

I've been hesitant to order this rose (to be potted), because I don't think I'll like the scent. Too bad, cause she's a stunner!!

Kathy, They are both gorgeous, but,My favorite one is Tamora.I have always liked that one.never did get one myself, but, I love it.Your picture of it is beautiful.
