Any Gertrude Jekyll or Pink Peace?

I love them both and appreciate their differences in shape and scent, but I was wondering if their colors were too similar. I'm starting a small container garden and want to make sure I'm using my space wisely by not by roses that are too similar! Thank you!

I just saw both in person!! Gertrude was shaded from dark (cnt.) to lighter outer areas. Pink Peace was a solid and not quite as a bluey-pink as Gertrude. Gertrude has the old rose higgledy piggledy look and Pink Peace has the modern HT form.

With limited space I probably wouldn't have both. And I'm not sure which I would choose. Formal versus relaxed. Both would look wonderful in my garden.
Hmmm .............

Are you still in Kansas? Maybe someone from that area will know about winter hardiness issues.

Another thing. Are you going to want it for bouquets?

My Gertrude grows like an thorny octopus :) If you are in a small space, Pink Peace would be friendlier.

Yes, I'm in Kansas. Both are so beautiful! So hard to choose... Good to know about the thorns on GJ, though! I have a 1yr old daughter who has an obsession with all things pink! Wouldn't want her chubby fingers in that bush.

A nice pink bouquet would be beautiful for my daughter's room.
