First blooms look promising. What do you think? Do any of you have any input on Boscobel?

The only input I have is that I've been wanting one of these for some time now--and your pic has awakened again all my desire to have one.

Lack of space--or I would have one already.

Isn't it gorgeous!

It looks nice. How does it smell? A good smell is a plus for one of these.

I have this planted, and buds are beginning to open, but it looks very light pink. Not the exciting color of your bloom at all. What gives?

kristy--first blooms sometimes don't come out true to color. I guess the rose needs to gain some more maturity before it can produce "normal" colored blooms--or something like that. : )

Kristy - The bloom on Boscobel does fade to a lighter pink. I just happened to catch this one on a cloudy and very shady day.

As far as the fragrance, so far, I have only noticed a mild fragrance, but I have only had a few flowers on this new bush.

Thanks for the compliments.

I just planted a Boscobel bare root around late March 2014. So far I have 5 blooms. All very lush and full of color. A very rich Salmon pink, later turning into a lighter salmon pink... but not light pink. I've include some photos that I took with my cell phone.. none do it justice.

It's lovely! It's available locally and I've been tempted.
