Thanks, Dahlia rose. It is a very slow, fragile grower in my yard. But this uear it had 5 blooms at once.

Interesting. Did you get that rose from Nor'East during their closing sale in 2009? I ordered Dahlia Rose then, and got something labeled Dahlia Rose then, but it turned out to be this OGR, which I still don't know what it is. I'm thinking maybe Ardoisee De Lyon . . .

The new growth has got a very bright stripe down the middle of its stipule -- anyone recognize it?

That Dahlia Rose is very pretty,and so is that bright Red one.

One thing about dahlia rose, it gets better every day. It starts out light pink and the
dark pink stripes appear a few days later. They also last a long time.
