Let's admire Gypsy Carnival now!

Gypsy Carnival is another one like my Love & Peace rose--they both have the most gorgeous blooms, but the plants themselves are pathetic wimps! But forget about that. Just enjoy these blooms, although the yellow in the blooms didn't come out as clearly as I might have wished.

Gypsy Carnival--imagine some yellow down in the center of the bloom.

Gypsy Carnival--head on. Can you see the yellow now?

Gypsy Carnival--here you can see more of the yellow.

Gypsy Carnival--another view of the back--she has the loveliest backside, doesn't she!

If you wonder what I'm complaining about, get a load of the entire plant--so sad. Those big blooms are almost too much for that skinny little plant!

I suggest we concentrate on the blooms themselves. Isn't this a beauty!

You'll be happy to hear that Gypsy Carnival and Love & Peace are the only two losers (as far as underdeveloped plants go) in my garden. Ironic that they both produce some of the most beautiful blooms in my garden also.

Very sweet, lively blooms, Kate! I love reverse petals myself!

Glad you liked the photos, kathy. I got her because I was admiring a photo you took of yours several years ago--though whenever I focus on the plant itself, I don't know if that was good or bad fortune. But bloomwise I just love it.

serena--like you, I adore differently colored revese petals. Somehow a touch of yellow at the base of a bloom adds automatic charm in my book.

Beautiful, rich color to the blooms, great pics.

I love that little thing! What a trooper. A wonderful color, too.
