My mom dug this out of her garden because it was so big and the flowers blow so fast. This rose has an unbelievably fine scent. I pick the flowers as they blow and set the pile of petals in my study while I work.

I would love to know more about the scent... I'm into fragrance. Thanks for the info. Lovely apricot color. Got to check that out.

What I like about the shepherdess is the rebloom. Some of the other DAs don't want to rebloom much for me but this one is reliable. Also it's a neat shorter plant. Someone said the naturally shorter DAs were better in So. CA. The flowers last longer if they get some shade in the hottest sun.

Renee, what a romantic idea about the rose petals. It's a beautiful rose and must be worth having for the fragrance alone. Ingrid

What a beautiful form! It's on my list of David Austin possibilities for next year when I hope to add more of those cup-shaped roses to my gardens. Renee, how big is your plant? It is pretty, especially against that lush green background.
