Wow!! What a beautiful collection of stripes!!

I succumbed to the beauty of Purple Tiger and bought her this spring. she has 3 lovely roses on her. I'm not actually expecting much from this rose, because EVERYONE thinks she's stingey. But I HAD to try her out.

Thanks for all the stripes everyone!

I know I'm a month late, but this is my first stripe in bloom:0) Scentimental. I also have Purple Tiger and she is stingey. Blackspot also loves her. But I keep her around because she was one my husband insisted on getting.

Sorry, but what does it mean to "SP" a rose?

  • Jean Marion (z6a Idaho)
    Original Author

Short for "Shovel Prune". When a rose is dug up and tossed or given away it is thought to be pruned with a shovel, right out of the ground...
