First Bloom

While I'm waiting on my hybrid teas, etc. to bloom; the Knockouts have started to go off like mad so I figured I'd post a photo of one them.

I wasn't exactly excited about the prospect of Knockouts when my landscaper suggested them last year. He put in 3 to give me a quick punch of color after our garden was completely refurbished upon moving into the house; and it was too late in the year for me to plant bare root roses.

However, as it turns out it was a smart suggestion as they were good for the purpose, flower like crazy, are effortless and suit the area really well (sitting near an ancient hydrangea tree).

Anyway - here is one just about to open up :) Can't wait for the others in a few weeks!
