I'm really loving this rose. It's acting like a peony bush. Huge blooms that weigh the canes down.

That's an absolutely gorgeous rose. The blue companion plant is perfect with it. I love that deep purply color.

I love this rose very much because of the antique touch to its blossoms. It is of so beautiful red color, its petals look like velvet and the shape is classically perfect, is it what they call a quartered rosette in the books? Dark lady is my favourite because of these characteristics and your plant looks very nice with these charming arching branches. Lovely.

I checked more detailed information about this rose on the net. It is written that it has an Old Rose fragrance. Is it fragrant for you?

Bgrose, for me I do detect an "old rose" fragrance, but it's light, not a "club you over the head" intensity of say WS2000.

Fragrance is relative though, it might be strong for someone else.

Eric, I will definitely get this rose next year. It does not matter that its fragrance is mild, it is very beautiful, for me one of the most beautiful roses, Thanks.

This is my current FAVORITE. Has not started to bloom in my garden this year yet....but last year it had blooms all summer long...

Oh, so pretty! I bought this one last fall on clearance. I was surprised at how fast she put out new growth in spring. Its just starting to develop buds too, yay! Hopefully mine will eventually look as good as your wonderful rose Eric.

I love your pics!! TDL looks especially pretty next to the salvia (is it salvia?). I agree it's a very pretty rose.

I've found this rose to be one of the more tender English roses (along with Molineux). Didn't survive for me.

Hi Carol. Sorry you lost your TDL, I'm sure your choices are limited in your zone. The purple plant is Walker's Low catmint...grows like a weed. It will need trimmed back soon.
