| New roses continue to open each day. Parts of the garden are much shadier and cooler than others, I guess. Here are some more photos,
and what Lacy really wanted to see, which makes her squeal and scream like she's in pain. I got so close I was worried it would jump at me

| Your Ebb tide is so pretty. Mine is so light, I wish it was the dark smokey purple I see often. But it is one of the best smelling roses in my garden, so I love it. |
|
| Haha, cute dog! like Ebb Tide as well! I have Climbing America too and I love this rose! Great full climber shot of Westerland. |

| Pelicanhead, could it be a different rose? It seems to have fewer petals. Mine can be pinker at times, but in spring it is definitely purple. |
|
| They're a beautiful sight to behold, Kathy! And Lacy's a great garden buddy! The tree rats are a nuisance here too! |
|
| These are lovely. I've always wanted ebb tide, just not sure how it would do in our humid climate. Honey Dijon is really unusual--I love her colors! |
|
| Chihuly looks fantastic. And Honey Dijon looks so pretty in the morning. Poor Lacy |

| It has a tag that says Ebb tide and is extremely fragrant. But it could have beem mislabled. I do have a few that are mislabled. I wonder what it could be. I've always wondered about the color. |

| I looked at Outa The Blue and some of those pictures look like your rose, in color and in the way the center looks. Your photo shows a lighter reverse which my Ebb Tide doesn't have. The characteristics of my ET is that it has longish stems with tons of buds on each one, more than you even see in a floribunda. When the blooms age, they stay purple but get a little darker. I don;t think the center shows much at any stage. Anyway, it could be a mislabel--it certainly does happen. |
