| Posted by seil z6b MI (My Page) on Fri, May 31, 13 at 21:17 It must be a very old cultivar, at least 20 years old. The plant is healthy and care-free. It produces a large number of flowers everyday. Even if I cut all the opened flowers, the same number of flowers open in a day or two. The flowers are very fragrant. The scent is strong, sweet and rosy. I keep these in the refrigerator, the entire refrigerator takes on the scent now =) Can you tell the newly opened flowers have a redder color than the older ones which are more purple?

| It looks like Cuthbert Grant, both in foilage, bloom form and what you describe as opening more red and fading to purple. CG is also very fragrant. |
