Problems with my Roses...?

Here is a picture of one of the problems I am having (this year and half of last year), in my Rose garden.

The flowers are coming out in VERY densely packed buds and it's almost as if they are fighting to blossom. Once they do blossom it appears that the flower pettals have gone through quite a shock and show signs of stress, as if they are burned on the edge and deformed of their normal presentation.

This symptom is occurring on all of my bushes, except for Angel Face. I have had a struggle with black spot and mites, but have been successful eradicating them so far this season! The newest leaf growth appears healthy, balanced in nutrients and not showing any sign of chlorosis. I fertilize twice a year with granules and spray for pests and fungus, as needed.

Any suggestions with similar symptoms will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much.

PS, I haven't quite figured out how to post multiple pictures on one blog, but I have several other photos to support this current problem.

Hi--I can't really see what the problem is in the pic, so it would probably be helpful if you would post more pics. Just make a new post for each pic you want to show. (You have to use a service like photobucket.com if you want to post multiple pics on one post.)

...and here is an example of the deforming of the petals once they have bloomed. The outside edges are rippled and browned. Not their usual full bold presentation.

I'm not sure about the first rose--other than the possibility that it is still a young rose and winter-spring weather can be unpredictable, so the blooms sometimes need more summer heat to bloom decently.

The second one may be mites--so small you need a magnifying glass to see them. That brown edge is often the telltale sign. There are probably ways to handle them, but I'm also under the impression that warmer, more consistent weather will help a lot with that problem.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but those are not problems I commonly encounter in my garden. Hopefully some more informed posters will come along and give more specific information to you.
