Distant Drums. Buds are a dark pink (almost red), newly-opened blooms are deep pink with a tan center, old blooms are a light pink/lavender color. Myrrh fragrance. Not disease resistant, must be treated to retain leaves. Not the first to defoliate, but it will eventually without treatment. Grafted on R. multiflora rootstock. it is in the bed that gets a regular layer of manure and mulching (cedar chips), but it needs a new layer of each this year.
