Early bloomers

So I've finally got some roses blooming (though nearly all of my plants are showing buds, bar a couple just-planted bands.)

Zephirine Drouhin

Ebb Tide... this plant is still popping blooms out that are a little brighter than they're supposed to be. And the bugs chewed on the buds :(

Hot Cocoa. I recently planted it, and all the fresh blooms are much more orange than they were at the nursery. Who knows.

St Swithun... hasn't bloomed yet, but holy cow, this plant has to have 100+ buds on it all about ready to bloom and I just planted it last year. I'm flabbergasted.

Oh My!!! More than a hundred buds??? I can't fathom that. Lucky you!!!

I really like your Ebb Tide and Zeffy.
Can't wait to see your St. Swithin's roses!!!!

I may have exaggerated on the number of buds in my excitement (it seems to be maybe half that, after going out and counting LOL) Still, not shabby for a bush that was only planted at the end of last season.

Well you know you're doing something right with the bush covered with buds like that! Congrats! It's going to be a beautiful flush! I can't imagine waiting this long for your first blooms, but they certainly are worth the wait.
