This pic of my backyard garden is part of my 3 year plan to put in 4 raised beds of 88" wide and 30 ft long with this shot of my wind chimes standing in our gazebo. Enjoy--Ron

Looks good. How many Louise Estes do you have tucked in there?????

Very impressive, ron. And I like the view through the windchimes.

Any particular reason why you are switching over to raised beds? (That's a lot of work!)

Kate-- Their is really two reasons, the first is I can work around the bushes by sitting on the concrete blocks without having to step into the beds and also with starting with good humus we find that you can get rid of tough weeds and fertilizing and watering is a whole lot easier also.--Ron

The wind chimes look nice with the roses, sounds like a very interesting project.

Good practical reasons, Ron. I would have thought it might also eliminate some of the bending over involved in gardening. That would be a hugh reason for making raised beds--for me, anyway.

Ken--We have two in our backyard garden and 3 in the front yard garden.--Ron(Louise Estes)

Those raised beds are really nice. I'm thinking about building some for easier access.
