Juliet, I applaud your ability to put together lovely and compatible colors. There are quite a few colors here but you've kept the tones very soft which allows them to co-exist beautifully. By the way, would you please tell me the name of the pink rose in the last picture? Great photo, by the way.

Those are the colors that speak to my heart. I love your Perle d'Azur clematis.

In the 3rd picture is that Venus Violacea?

Thank you Ingrid, Iris_gal, Serena, Jean, Debbie, Harold, Jim and Carol!

Ingrid, thanks for your wonderful comments. I do lean towards the softer colors. The climber in the back of the last picture is a rose bred in 1909 called Climbing American Beauty. Even though it's supposed to be mostly a spring bloomer, it repeats well for me.

Iris_gal, I believe you are right about the clematis in the third pic. If I remember correctly, it is Venosa Violacea.

X-Squeeze-It, Juliet. Simply outstanding. I'm glad you framed them because they were definitely suitable :-)

The blue clematis and the bright pink are inspired.

Juliet, your colors remind me of soft colored easter eggs that are dipped multiple times in different colors giving the mixed bag of soft colors haha. I'm not sure why, but that's what came to mind. Soft blue, pink, apricot, purple, and yellow. I'm sure it illuminates quite well in the Cali sunlight.

I also like your way of combining colors, forms and textures quite a bit! My favorite is the one in the third picture. May I ask, what is the name of the rose in that one? It is so pretty!

Thank you also to Florence, Boxofrox, Renee, Nick and Christina.

Nick, what a charming description of the colors I love.

Christina, that particular rose is Tamora, in bud form.
