the first perfect Julia Child

My Julia child for the first year, the size is pretty small, but the flower is perfect. Another perfect yellow rose for me. So good in the big blue container.

A closer up one:

The first bloom of my Queen Elizabeth, the color is not what I expected, kind of odd, but still pretty.

Julia Child is the most vigorous rose I own. I had a small one In a wooden pot that quickly grew and shot roots straight through the bottom into my walkway. Finally found a place for it in the ground where it repeats often and is one of my most blackspot resistant roses here in hot and humid NJ.

Julia Child is really turning out to be my favorite. I'm amazed at the number of blooms on the plants continuously. I have four plants, and the only thing I wish is they would grow more like each other. It's like each plant has its own personality, and they are all growing differently. Of course I am a new at roses, about 4 years now, so it could be my lack of proper pruning in the spring.
Your pictures are gorgeous, and Queen Elizabeth is quite pretty as well!

I have the same combo side by side. Julia Child is incredible, but a tree rose, so staying smaller so far (only in the ground this year)

Queen Elizabeth, it happy happy happy this year, for the first time and is loaded with buds. She has been in the ground several years with only a bud here and there. I took over the caring for roses this year from mom. She wanted a rose garden, but I think she had forgotten how to care for them or just was scared she was going to kill them and kind of left them all alone.
