| Another great Griffith Buck rose. These two have been flanking my front porch for about 25 years. In back are two Ramblin' Red, an excellent climber for zone 5. |

| Paul - Those roses look great, both the Carefree Beauty and the Ramblin' Red, |

Holy cow!!!!! Those are show stoppers!!! Do they rebloom well? I imagine they don't since that takes a lot of resources to make that many blooms!! My goodness - what beauty!! Carol |

| I would say fragrance is mild to moderate, but my sniffer ain't what it used to be! Yes, it repeats at least two more times, sometimes three. You must deadhead to get repeat however. |

I'm agog at how many blooms there are. I love deadheading - so no problem. :) Carol |

| You can deadhead this rose with a hedge-trimmer, and you could do your Spring pruning with a chainsaw. I'm only HALF kidding! The one and only fault of this rose is that because it blooms in discrete flushes, and because the canes are somewhat lax (I believe it was bred from rosa laxa), if it rains when the the blooms are opening, the canes will all bow to the ground because of the weight of the hundreds of flowers. The secret is to tie-up the bush with string just BEFORE the blooms open. Tying it up AFTER a rain when the bush has already collapsed is an exercise in futility (and hilarity for anyone watching). |

What a great idea! Yeah, that would be a herculean effort for the plant to keep that many water logged roses standing upright. Carol |

| Here is Carefree Beauty in its second bloom cycle. Not nearly as floriferous as the first, but respectable nonetheless. There will be a third bloom in October. One year I had four flushes. |

Four flushes!!!! That's a trooper of a rose!! You must fertilize a lot to keep the rose from blooming itself to death. Lovely!! Carol |

| Amazing…I would love to know how you feed and special cares you take with your roses. You have the most blooms so much more than I get. Really so lovely and lush. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. lesley |

| I agree with Lesley. Your roses are so beautiful! |

| Leslie: I use Rosetone fertilizer about three times per season. Sometimes I supplement with MiracleGro or Mills Easy Feed. I do spray, but not religious about it. Sometimes Banner fungicide, mostly Bayer hose-end product. I am very good about watering. Carefree Beauty can be grown in a no-spray garden, it is that disease resistant. It was hybridized by Griffith Buck, and is used frequently by other breeders in their efforts to produce disease-resistant roses. |

| Thank you,Paul for your response. I agree, Rose Tone is a great product. I use it every spring. I guess I should add another time or two! Water is so important, also. I must spray for blackspot on a regular basis. I add Monty`s to my Bayer spray, and I have a grip on blackspot. Knock on wood!!!! Your roses are beautiful and lush. I bet your neighbors feel lucky! Thanks again. Lesley |
