Henrik, I can see why this is your favorite David Austin rose, what a beauty indeed!

Glad to see you posting on the Rose Gallery, again!

RE: Charles Austin

I just bought a Charles Austin. It has buds that haven't opened yet. They're large and dark orange. I think the dark color might be because of the cool weather we've been having. I can't wait to see the finished color.

It's your favorite rose? Oh, I'm glad to know that. Sounds like a good rose then.

Yours is so lovely with the folded petals. The 2nd picture is even better than the first. Wow!!

Thanks for the sharing the beauty.

Carol

How big does Charles Austin get for you. I've seen a few pics of him being grown as a 10ft tall climber. There is also the sibling Yellow Charles Austin. Some of the older Austin varieties are actually closer in resembling some of the actual appearances of antique roses than the modern ones.

Thank you all!
Carol , the colour in CA vary depending on location and weather. Here , the first picture is of the plant grown in shaded position , the second one is in full sun.
Jeff , in my previous garden 8 years old plant was ower 9ft tall. A cane on it sported to yellow one and I buded it on r.multiflora seedling . Sadly I lost this one .
