This is my first bloom of Bella Roma this year. It is my last rose to bloom, but I'm thinking worth the wait. The fragrance is wonderful.

Ooo, pretty!! I just bought it and can hardly wait to see it bloom.

I planted mine this spring, and it took forever to bloom, but now it has lot's of buds and has been very disease resistant so far. I am very happy with it, and it was you, Seil who told me to be patient. Glad I was.

I hope you post more of this rose. I love her colors.

That's another rose that I keep wanting to get, but haven't yet. What is the fragrance like? I know it's great - but is it damask, fruity or ?? Carol

Mmmmmm...sounds heavenly. Does it get lots of flowers? Carol |

It has just started blooming for me. It has about five more buds. It is my first year so will have to watch it and see.

Here is my 2nd bloom of Bella Roma. Same plant but no pink edges this time. It is still a pretty bloom and smells heavenly.

The color change could be from a weather change. Both of it's parents are strong yellows so it has that gene pool to work with. Maybe this is a sport!
RE: Bella Roma

Seil, forgive my ignorance, but if it is a sport, does that mean the bush will most likely revert back to all yellow blooms or could each bloom be different? I am still learning so much.
RE: Bell Roma

If it's a sport - that means that all of the flowers on that CANE only will be that color. So mark the cane, and see if it does the same thing all summer and next spring. What a bright yellow. Love it! Carol

Thanks, Carol. I have learned something new!
