| Very nice Mister Lincoln! |
|
| Very nice Baby Lincoln. Hey, HRose is yours an own-root? Your zone is very similar to Jim's so it will be interesting to compare how tall yours will get if it's an own-root. I keep telling Jim, that Lincoln is a very heavy feeder. Lincoln does love Gardenville Sea Tea. Really huge blooms and for me he's a continual blooomer. Jim cannot do the expensive Gardenville, so it's bananas and coffee grinds. Already Jim's baby Lincoln is making me jealous because my 10ft grafted Lincolns are driving me crazy because they do not! make graceful climbers and so I cannot do full bush shots, unlike him. Too lanky and sprawly!!!! I too had to economize on my Gardenville, but last year they were fat and bushy. This year very lean without the Gardenville, abd now they are too tall for me to photograph anymore :( Next year, I will have to hack them down to 3'...I hate to do this, but no choice!!!! |

| Even nicer bloom, HRose! Love it and very lovely. Well if you don't know what an own-root is, then you probably got a grafted container rose. Own-root HTs are only sold by specialty nurseries typically like Long Ago Roses, Rogue Valley Roses, Vintage Gardens, Antique Rose Emporium, etc. Here explains the difference |
