Who would imagine a Mister Lincoln that was somewhat bushy and a dwarf...? LOL This ML was planted in Nov of 2010. Here's our own-root Mister Lincoln at only 2ft high... Yes I pruned it way down to the ground this Spring to just see what it would do...

I love Mr. Lincoln. Mine really did well first flush this year. It's a great rose. Thank you for sharing your photo. Susan

Nice to see Mr. Lincoln blooming down near earth where the rest of us reside. He's usually blooming taller than I am! Hope your experiment of drastic pruning works out in the long run--my other HTs never objected when we had a bad winter and I had to chop them down to a few inches tall--so maybe Mr. Lincoln will actually thrive on such treatment. (But don't try that with my floribunda Eutin--which I did, and it has taken a couple years for Eutin to get almost back to "normal"--and Eutin is otherwise one tough rose. Think my Austins would strongly object also.) Kate

I think Mr. Lincoln is the most gorgeous red rose ever produced. So velvety as your pic shows. Congrats on your nice bud count.

Nice... So are your Lincolns grafted or own-root? Our ML blooms last 3 days in cool weather and only
