Real nice setting...looks super peaceful!! What's that rose on the left side in the first pic with the single cluster of lavender? Looks great.

Wow Rita! They all look great. I would like to know what the dark pink and the purpley looking roses are in the fourth pic? I said noooo more roses but always looking for something in purple. Luuuuv purple. It seemed like just the other day we were discussing your roses just leafing out and now "BANG" roses everywhere. I have all my roses all mixed up color wise too and love it. Love to have color EVERYWHERE!!! Judy

The pink in the forground of pic four is cherry sunblaze. Wonderful rose. Never stops from the time it first blooms. The purple mid picture is Midnight Blue. They both show up in the picture prior. The roses are planted so close together that they fall into each other plus there is no ground showing. And this after ruthless spring prunning each year. I do love the way the colors all blend into one another as it is just my style of gardening. For years before I had roses I would read how they need all this space between them for air to be healthy. Well, mine do just fine as you can see. Judy and Lesley, thanks, it has taken afew years but it is worth it too me.

The first photo with the cascading white rose is so romantic. I would kill to have something like that in my garden. What rose is that, Rita? I wonder if I could grow one like that. Renee |

Your garden looks lovely and "healthy" .

I spray to keep them healthy. Renee, I can't remember its name. I got it from Ashdown years ago and that rose is no longer available anywhere as far as I know. It opens pinkish and fades to white and it very pretty.

Wonderful gardens and you seem to have so much space. It is amazing. It looks so inviting. Gardens seem so lush in shorter summer areas. I grew up on LI--Lynbrook. Are there still lightning bugs around? One of my fondest kid memories.

I don't have a large yard, just a normal sized surburban lot around here. But since I have a multilevel yard, lots of terracing and makes for more room. Plus I cram everything in. Yes, there are lightening bugs here each night in the summer flying around. Reminds me of when I was a kid.
