Cabbage Rose--I had always thought the rose that grew in front of our house when I was a child was a Cabbage Rose, but its blooms were larger and much more fragrant (and consistantly so) than this one is, so I'll keep looking

Just gorgeous! How does Charles Darwin do for you? I love that color...All of your roses are beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to share.

Charles Darwin is larger than it says on HMF, and has the octopus arms some Austin roses are famed for. It is mostly thornless. It is only that color in the cool and damp weather of spring and fall. As it get warmer and drier, it becomes more apricot, and in the dry heat of 90-100 degree weather it is mostly pink. I haven't had much trouble with disease, but I do give an occasional sulpher or copper soap bath. (On the other hand, that doesn't stop some other roses from blackspotting all the time.)

Lovely roses. One of my favorites is Paradise. It's hard to beat that color combination with the bright magenta edges. So nice to see all the different classes of roses you have. Thanks.

Rozenprincessin and Precious Dream are two that especially caught my eye from among all these beauties.

You are growing some roses I have never seen before. It would be hard to choose a favorite, but that Charles Darwin is outstanding!!! Lesley

Thanks for the info on Charles Darwin. I believe I will give him a try. Apricot and pink work for me too.
Do his blooms blow very quickly? My Jude the Obscure is gorgeous but he opens up and then blows away.

Found you on gardenweb...cool. I have been a member of this forum for a while but uploading multiple images on here can be a challenge on iPad. Beautiful blooms on your roses...wow! Very impressive. I got 2,000 ladybeetles yesterday and am going to try chem free. If your roses look that good chem free, I have to give it a go! Thank you again.
