I rooted this rose last fall from a bouquet of roses (as I often do) and it has it's first flower of the summer. It was planted about a month ago and is really flourishing. The picture is kind of deceiving because the flower is about the size of the tip of my thumb, but it is perfect:)

That's a beauty! I can see why you wanted to root it! I've never even thought of doing such a thing!

Wow! They are both so pretty! Seeing the bloom on your bush and the photo of the vase of roses is a real treat! You must really know what you are doing, good job :)

Thanks Andrea:) And no, I really don't know what I'm doing...lol. I just love experimenting and yes, I'm so glad I took a pic of the original bouquet as reference.. I just wish I knew the name of the flower.

Maude, here are some similar colors I found at a wedding flower site. I always look up the names of my florist roses. Maybe you can find yours!

Hi Andrea,

Thanks so much for the link, but now I'm more unsure than ever.. They are all gorgeous and they all kind of look like my rose. I think only a rose DNA test will solve this mystery...lol..
