Thank you for sharing these delightful rose photos. They are all lovely, but my particular fave photo is Swirling Orange.

Hey! I rarely think to check out the Rose Gallery section, but my mom has a standard of Pink Promise that provides very nice cut flowers. I'm not sure how long they last, but it's one she likes to bring inside. I remember a distinct cold-cream note the last time I smelled it, but I don't recall it having much fragrance typically. Great pictures! Jay

Thanks Inga. Much easier to get a good shot at home rather than in a public garden. I do love this rose even with its lousy growth. Arbutus, if you get any info on how long she lasts in a vase I'd love to hear it. I never thought a white based pink would be so appealing.

Beautiful roses irisgal! I almost lost my SWIRLING ORANGE this yr, but it's still hanging in there, thankfully!

My favs are Diana Princess of Wales and Queen of Sweden. Guess I like the light pinks. Queen of Sweden is one of my favorite roses. Yours looks great!! Good job!! Love them all. Carol |

I'll see if she has any idea or just cut one the next time I'm there and see for myself how long Pink Promise lasts. Jay

Beth ~ I'm praying that little *@! son of a gun rose does well for you. It is still under 4 ft. after 10 (?) yrs. here. Without pruning! Canadian_rose ~ you are so dedicated. Zone 3a sounds like Edmonton. I love the pinks too! Much better pictures of Diana Princess of Wales (not to be confused with the other 2 named after her) at HMF. Arbutus ~ we need to know! :-) Thank you. On the rose discussion a gal is ready to shovel prune hers due to powdery mildew. Pnk.Promise had none here (central coast Ca.) or up in San Jose. So elegant. Faye ~ she really is a queen. Thanks for looking!

I saw the title, but I haven't checked out that post yet. PM is a big problem here in Santa Monica (Coastal Los Angeles basically) and I haven't noticed that as an issue with Pink Promise. Rust is probably a bigger problem and I have yet to notice that either. He's not the most renowned breeder, but Jim Coiner has produced some lovely roses. I personally like Pink Promise and am very smitten with Hailstorm and Orchard's Pride. Orchard's Pride is one of my favorite modern HTs. Jay
