Here is my Climbing Peace I bought as a body bag 4 years ago. It is the rose that got me hooked on roses. Last year (its first bloom year) there were 24 buds on this plant (a warm winter). Not so many this year, but its sister has 10. I will post more.

Ah, break my heart with such beauty! To me, Peace is the most beautiful rose in the world and I will always have a tender spot in my heart for it, but I finally had to get rid of mine due to all the blackspot problems. She was one of the first roses I ever grew, and I couldnt' figure out back then what I was doing wrong that would cause her to BS so badly. With time, of course, I figured out it was her nature, not my gardening practices causing the problem.

But thank you for sharing all those wonderfully beautiful pics of this wonderful rose. I'm remembering so fondly the three separate times I tried to grow her--and how delighted I was with those big beautiful blooms.

Really a pretty rose! I still think that they rose that gets you hooked will always hold a special place in your heart :) Mine is a found rose that was growing behind my house when I moved in that I've been trying to root for the past four years without any luck. I can root other roses with fair success, but not that one...maybe its not meant to be.
