Been awfully hot lately. I've lost a handful of roses, some I can't replace, and it's frustrating. But I guess I just have to enjoy the ones that are hanging in there thru this heat wave and drought. Here are some of the blooms from this past week or so... This is a J&P Test Rose from a couple seasons ago. SPICY - a florist rose REUNION - one of Certified Roses intros that almost always burns on me REMBRANDT VAN RYN - I'm lovin' the deep tones on these blooms lately! PINK INTUITION - this one is becoming quite a tall plant... over 6ft now OPENING NIGHT MULLEM - one of the babies I got from Cliff before he closed up MAVRIK LITTLE DARLING - replacement from Hortico this yr for my old one that died last yr JOSHUA BRADLEY JAM & JERUSALEM INDIAN FEMA - florist rose FRECKLE FACE mini FRAGRANT RHAPSODY - one of J&P's short-timers from the 90's

Beth, all your roses are beautiful. I love the rich colors of REMBRANDT VAN RYN, but I can find very little information on this rose. FRECKLE FACE is cute and aptly named.
|
That test rose it's so beautiful! I'm sorry about your losses. The lack of rain is hitting my yard hard too.

Thanks everyone. REMBRANDT VAN RYN is one of JB Williams' shrub roses from his Masterpiece series of striped roses. It grow very much shrub-like, sprawling all over the place and the blooms are in big long-lasting clusters. Another of his roses that's very similar is THE NIGHTWATCH, which is more on the crimson-plum and white color range. I have several other of his striped roses, and I just love them all!
