Summer roses with companions

The daylilies were here first. And then came the roses to my garden. The roses bloom first, then they take a rest and let the daylilies star. Now they are blooming together as the roses gathered strength to bloom again.

Chicago Peace with a bunch of surrounding friends:

with daylily Cherry Chapeau,

with Sense of Wonder

and with Persian Ruby

Sharon's Delight rose with Fox Hunter daylilies

Hot Cocoa with Meet Joe Black daylily

Priscilla Burton with a wall of clematis

and a friendly dragonfly

Mini rose, Fall Festival with mini daylily Button Bee

Alpine Sunset with tall daylily, Celestial Music

Evelyn with a pink spider daylily. I don't know the name.

Mini rose Gingerbread Man with daylilies Custard Candy and Bonnie Holley.

Thanks for looking!

Ms Kathy, nice job on mixing your daylilies with your roses they do a great job on complementing each other. I've started doing some of the same, makes up for the time that the roses are in between flushes. I like lots of color no matter where it comes from. Thanks for sharing

Msjam, I get my daylilies from my local daylily club auctions. Can't beat the prices for the newest daylilies and daylily folk are just plain nice!

Wow, your daylily and rose combinations are stunning! How could I missed this thread?! My absolute favorite combo is Alpine Sunset, with the Celestial Music daylily. Just keeps my mouth stand open :-)!

You have a great sense for color, Kate. Keep the pictures coming!

That is a super shot of the dragonfly. Looks so jewel-like. Wow!!

I have Chicago Peace and I'm amazed at how much it blooms and at how beautiful the blooms are!! Yours is just beautiful no matter what it's mixed with. Love it!!

I adore your wall of clematis. How in the world can you get so many blooms all at once. Gah!! Such beauty!!

Thanks for the look
Carol
