| Finally getting caught up with the photo tweaking. Plus got the enclosure done for the dogs so they will stay out of the flower beds. No more chewed up sprinklers and no more crap in the walkways!! Yay! Here are some blooms from the last few days... (it's been reeeeally hot lately so lots of fried blooms by mid-day!) BLUE NILE
BLUE PARFUM GINGERSNAP GYPSY LANTERN NOSTALGIE PAINTED MOON PARTY TIME SANKA ST PATRICK SECRET SIMSALABIM SOUVENIR DE PIERRE GUILLOT STRIKE IT RICH THE TEMPTATIONS And then here's the dogs' new "pen" with some of my potted roses along the outer perimeter to help deter them from digging out! So far they've been good tho.
Kya and Riley ...and the bird feeding area under the pergola which was not much fun to move and isn't completely level/plumb due to the sloping terrain and our amateur carpentry! |

| Thanks for the look. I'm surprised that Blue Nile is even blooming if it is quite hot where you are. I used to have it, and it wouldn't flower if the temperature was much over 65F. How is your rain situation? I have been hearing that California is in a bad drought situation. |
|
| Ditto to Kousa's and Jim's comments, include Sanka and all the others. Beautiful. |
|
| Thanks everybody! Yeah Bustopher, we're definitely in a drought situation. We didn't get enough rain to build up hardly any snowpack in the upper Sierras. Not much run-off, so the creeks and reservoirs are getting extremely low. We're on every-other-day water rationing. They initially wanted us to cut back water use by 20-25% which for me is fine, because I over-watered last yr. So far, the roses are doing ok. |
|
| I'm admiring SOUVENIR DE PIERRE GUILLOT. The pooch yard has some nice shade. We're only in the 80's thank heavens. A nearby town has instituted a 10% mandatory cutback. Woe to everyone who had already reduced usage to minimal. |

| I can't pick a favorite of your photos--there are too many I love. Such great colors. Love the doggies, too! |

| Gorgeous as always, Beth! |
