actually, this rose has unusual form; one large cane shot out these laterals pictured while the rest of the plant is kinda low-lying. still a young rose so i will give it time. the birdhouse is actually ornamental; on the backside of the clematis, there is a real chickadee birdhouse in which a pair nested in this spring. |
