| For 4 weeks I complained that we had NO rain...now for the last week ALL its done is rain! I wish there was a happy medium, but we can't control Mother Nature :) Unfortunetly, this is the time when many of my tea roses decided to bloom...and in turn ball. But, there were a few that still looked good in spite of the rain...
Tammy
Antico Amore
South Africa
Ginger Syllabub
Oshun
Alfred de Dalmas
Evona's Yellow
The Reeve
...and finally, Warm and Fuzzy....still blooming its head off right through the heat and now the rain. My favorite min :)

Love all your roses, specially the Antico Amore . Alfred de Dalmas is a bit "hairy" You can send the rain north, to us, we are in dire need for it. |

| I'm sorry for your stormy skies during prime bloom time, but thank you for getting out there and giving us pictures! I so enjoy seeing everyone's blooms. You have posted a couple I had never seen before. Antico Amore, I love old fashion blooms. Next year I'm hoping to add some pinks to my garden and The Reeve really caught my eye. I looked this rose up after viewing your picture and it said occassional repeat blooms later in the season. Can you tell me how frequently you have blooms on this plant? |

| Thanks everyone! Antico Amore was one I purchased a couple of years ago and almost shovel pruned because it wasn't growing, now this year its doing much better! I guess my patience paid off. Mzstitch, I never realized that The Reeve said occational repeat. I think that may be an error on HMF. It blooms just as often as my other Austins. I think this is its second or third cycle this season. I really like it. You get those full blooms, with very little balling. Tammy |

| Thanks for answering Tammy, think I'm going to put The Reeve on my wishlist for next year! I'm hearing over and over on this site that sometimes an Austin rose takes a couple years to take off I'm sure that happens with others as well. I'm glad you avoided shovel pruning the Antico Amore. It's a stunning rose, and I'd add that one to my list too, but I bought a few in the peach family this year, and next year am going to look for pinks and whites. |
