| Great photos! Does your Home Run always bloom that nicely? Mine don't--but mine are in part shade part of the time, and I'm not sure if that is the problem or not. My 3 Home Runs are also on the opposite side of the house, where I sometimes forget to water, so maybe they just need more regular watering. They bloom, but always seem to be in the process of losing 1 or more petals. I have no need for a mini right now, but if I ever do, I shall think seriously about Heather Sproul. Love that picture of her. Kate |

| Yep, Beth, I like HOT colors! Thanks! Thanks, Jim! Thank you, Kate! No my HR does the same thing too. It opens for a brief moment and then loses a petal. But it does bloom it's fool head off! HS is a really lovely mini. It can be nearly white in the heat but in the fall gets very peachy too. Nice rose. Mantis, nothing fancy! I have a Fuji Film FinePix S700. I started out with a Fuji point and shoot camera and when it finally bit the dust upgraded to this one. I like the Fuji cameras a lot. I know every one talks about Nikon and Canon lenses but they're just too too pricey for me. Fuji's are good quality AND affordable. I've been looking at some of their new ones with the 30X zooms but can't afford it right now. What ever you get make sure it has a "Macro" setting. I take all of my rose shots using the macro and the the zoom. I don't bend like I used to so I can stand upright and zoom in on the bloom to frame it and still get a crisp focus. I also always use the fill flash to eliminate shadows. Unless I want them of course! |
