This Week's Pretties...

Happy Saturday! Today I spent 5 hours weeding my flower beds. They don't look great, but they're acceptable. Then...had atalk with my husband about NOT aiming the lawnmower shoot toward the flower beds! Maybe it will stay a little less weedy, not that we've had out talk...but somehow I doubt it :(

Anyway, here's a few pictures that I took throught the day :)

You really have some unusual roses!!

Crazy Dottie, Tattoed Lady, and Bermuda's Kathleen are really unusual and lovely roses.

Actually I only know of two of your roses. How neat!

Thanks Carol! Not knowing the roses is definitely part of the fun of it :) I use this forum as a hunting ground for new roses LOL!

I really like Tattooed Lady! She just has a very unique bloom form!

I really like Ginger Syllabub. Is it fragrant?

Ginger Syllabub definitely has a scent, but I'm horrible at describing fragrances. Even on HMF it just says "strongly scented" Wish I could be of more help! A couple of weeks ago at work someone was eating brown sugar oatmeal, and I mistook it for boiled celery LOL...like I said, not great at distinguishing scents :)

Boiled celery? What the heck does that smell like?? Ha. Anyway, "scented" is good enough for me!

Wow, Tammy! So many pretties!
Like them all, and Perle d'Or, Pumpkin Patch, Music Box and Stanwell Perpetual most of all.

They're beautiful, Tammy! I wish my Tattooed Lady would bloom for me!

Perle d'Or reminds me of a decorative pin cushion or pillow. Your blooms are lovely and interesting to see.

I added Paul Neyron to the garden this spring, love the blooms.

Thanks Krista! I know a lot of people really dislike Paul Neyron, but he does well here. I like how the blooms almost have a blotchy color :)

...then again, as I commented on a post earlier today, I also really like my Dr. Huey....that's what makes the world go 'round!
