Deck the Fall's in the Air

The greater part of the summer has been consumed with slaving over recoating of our 2nd story deck. Yesterday was finally the beginning of the end (stain and first coat of sealer). Fall is fast approaching and we have little time to spare. Here's a shot of the progress and some of the last garden bounty before we turn the corner. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

Boxo your bouquet and flowers are gorgeous. Your deck looks beautiful. Your slavery paid off. Is it stain on concrete? I love how it looks. You did great!! Judy

Thanks Judy :-)

Technically yes. It is a wooden deck (marine grade plywood) with two coats of mesh w/mortar, multiple coats of membrane, followed by two cementious coats. That was the original and now we are recoating with 2 more membrane and 2 more cementious plus stain and sealer. We got to the first of the cementious recoats earlier this summer but it bubbled and we had to start over by removing.

LOL brittie !!!

I was born a jock (self admitted) and my lovely bride hates, no let me rephrase HATES sports. So she drives special needs children to school and all the female drivers are HUGE Hawk fans. So out of nowhere she comes to the party after all these years and starts getting all crafty and making and wearing all this gear and watching all the games just in time for last years magic. She made the wreath and Hawk paracharm bracelets and all kinds of boots and leggings and......Go Figger ~@^@~ Right ? Only took 42 years :-)

Ha, that's a great wreath! And wonderful bouquets of course. I'm a Panthers fan personally, but was happy to see your team beat the Niners in the NFC Championship game last year. I grew up around Los Angeles at just the moment when the Raiders and Rams had left and was impressionable enough for an expansion team to earn my rooting interests over the Chargers.

This is almost certainly the first time I've brought up sports on GW, but I do love following and playing -at least basketball and golf- sports besides roses and gardening.
