Great pix, Sandra. Especially Quietness, also known as the 9/11 rose. I read that Pat Henry of Roses Unlimited saw the first bloom of this Buck rose on the day after 9/11 and asked the Buck family if she could name it Quietness.

Your roses are beautiful. I think I will have to get quietness. I've considered it several times but, your pictures and Paul's story have convinced me. I'm sorry to hear about Jude's stingy blooms. That is the only yellow rose I've been considering. How stingy is it? It's really the shape of Jude that I love. Maybe, there's another rose that blooms more with that shape.

Paul - Thank you for sharing the Quietness story. Very touching, especially today. I'll love this rose even more, now.
Kitty - Don't go by my garden for Jude; It is so dry and windy here year round, that you may do better with him in your climate, though you're in 4a. Maybe ask some others in a similar climate to yours about him. I love the bloom form and color and fragrance enough to put up with him. Plus, he's only 3 years old. Maybe he'll mature into a more generous person as many fussy adolescents eventualy do.
