Mme Scipion Cochet looks lovely. Very confusing at HMF. A hybrid pertetual as well as the tea with the same name.
|
I'm confused too. Very pretty rose but seems to look more like the HP with its many petals. The rose world seems to be full of these little conundrums. Thanks for posting these lovely roses. Ingrid

I love Prairie Princess and the rose hips!

Mme. Scipion Cochet is wonderful. The bloom on the right is my favorite - I love the muddled shape and those color shades too. Thanks for posting pictures of this rare rose! Masha

Hi and thanks everyone I have to say I too was a bit confused with which Mme SC it is after it opened. This rose is from RU and they have it listed as a Tea. Echoing what Ingrid said, with the old roses there can be confusion. And in HMF a lot of the pictures posted for the Tea rose is a cross, not the true rose so that adds more confusion. Paul Zimmerman will be here the the weekend of of Oct 18 to do one of his great talks at our rose society meeting so I will ask him as he will know. But no matter what, whether it is a Tea or HP, I do really like this rose. Liz
